What is a refund?

A refund is the process of returning funds to your Finup virtual card after a payment is canceled by the merchant (seller).

When is a refund possible?

A refund is possible if:

- the merchant canceled the payment;

- you requested a cancellation and received confirmation from the seller;

- the transaction was not completed correctly and the merchant decided to return the funds.

How long does a refund take?

Refunds are usually credited to your Finup virtual card within 7–10 business days after the merchant initiates the cancellation.

In rare cases, the process may take up to 30 days — this depends on third-party systems: the merchant, banks, and payment gateways.

How do I know the refund has arrived?

You will see the refund in your Finup transaction list.

You can also check your card balance — the refund amount is credited automatically.

To verify properly, we recommend using the "Credit" filter in the "Side" section on the transactions page.

Can the process be sped up?

Unfortunately, Finup cannot influence refund processing times — they depend entirely on third-party participants.

If you don’t see the refund after 10 business days, we recommend contacting the merchant to clarify the status of the transaction.
