On some Finup BINs, extended 3D Secure is used for payments. For such cards, in addition to a one-time OTP code, a static 3DS password is required. In this article, we will explain in detail how a payment with extended 3D Secure works and where to find the 3DS password to confirm a transaction.
How payment with extended 3DS works
1. After entering the card details, you will be redirected to the 3D Secure window.
2. At the payment confirmation step, you need to select the delivery method – «Email address».
Please note: the displayed email is not yours – it is a system delivery channel.
3. The one-time OTP code will appear in the card details section in your account. The code is valid for 5 minutes.
💡 If you have notifications enabled in the Telegram bot, the code will also be sent there. If Telegram notifications are not yet enabled, they can be activated by following the instructions in the corresponding article.
4. After successfully entering the OTP code, the system will request the 3DS password. It can also be found in the card details section in the Finup account. The password is static and does not change with each payment.
